Economic Development Manager
West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill an Economic Development Manager position. As an Economic Development Manager, you can expect to do the following:
Manage West Chester economic development initiatives, including meeting with current and prospective businesses, overseeing incentive programs through local and State agencies, and developing strong relationships with the local commercial broker community
Manage Enterprise Zone, Community Reinvestment Act, and Tax Incentive Review Committee duties on behalf of West Chester Township.
Conduct a vibrant business retention program that includes on-site meetings with existing West Chester businesses to provide feedback on Township policies that affect the business community
Develop strategies to keep West Chester competitive in retaining and attracting high quality business developments
Utilize and create data to help West Chester make informed economic development decisions
Communicate as West Chester’s primary point of contact for local, regional and national trade associations.
Work in conjunction with West Chester Community Development staff to understand zoning, land-use and utility information throughout West Chester
Provide Content to LinkedIn and Economic Development Facebook Page
Administer SPARK Small Business Grant
Attend Ribbon Cuttings, Business Anniversaries, and other Business Networking Events
Speak at local Chamber and Regional events
Overall the Economic Development Manager will assist on developing marketing strategies and materials to promote West Chester as a “Best Community to do Business in Ohio." Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. The pay range is $30.20 - $33.20 per hour.

Required qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years related experience or any combination of training and experience
Valid Ohio Driver’s License
Preferred qualifications include:
Associate’s degree in applicable subject area
Comfortable networking and public speaking
The selection process for this position includes: oral board review, background check, and drug screen.
Position is open until filled, with first review beginning 7/15/2024. Interviews will start the week of 7/22/2024.
