Job Description Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will provide site support to our Additive West Chester, OH facility. Within the EHS Specialist role, you will apply your environmental, health and safety knowledge and expertise to solve problems in an additive manufacturing arena. You will also develop and execute objectives for yourself, while having the ability to effect short and long term business goals. This is growth role and will grow in scope and process.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day EHS support for the facility
Work together with business leadership, both locally and through headquarters, to drive outcomes
Initiating and influencing integration of EHS policies and practices into the business
Implementing and auditing EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance
Developing and maintaining general knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
Develop, facilitate, and promote employee safety improvement (Kaizen events, safety committee, and trainings).
Performing program reviews, EHS assessments and driving closure of corrective actions to ensure compliance
Completing regulatory reporting requirements
Coordinating with consultants and contractors on EHS related concerns
Ownership of training, inspections, and customer interaction around planning and job execution. Help develop and communicate EHS goals for the location/operation, and review, approve, and implement policies and procedures that impact EHS
Deliver training or participate in the selection of qualified individuals to deliver training and verify delivery of training
Assist with the evaluation of the EHS Framework Work Plan Elements and serve as an element owner where needed
Managing internal compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems
Supporting site EHS requirements for new product development
Managing key EHS and Health Ahead initiatives
Consult on shop floor lean initiatives that may impact EHS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing) + Minimum of 3 years of (manufacturing) experience
