Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead design transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing, collaborating closely with multi-functional teams.

  • Collaborate in developing and implementing robust design transfer plans and timelines to ensure alignment with project goals and company objectives.

  • Partner in the creation and review of design transfer documentation such as process validation protocols, manufacturing instructions, and quality control plans.

  • Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to design transfer, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company practices.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing teams during product scale-up, solving design-related issues, and optimizing manufacturing processes.

  • Engage with internal and external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth design transfer processes and effective knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 6 years of experience in medical device product development or manufacturing with experience in design for manufacturability and design transfer.

  • Consistent track record of successfully transferring products from R&D to manufacturing, with a deep understanding of design control processes required.

  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) and quality standards in design transfer.

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.

  • Excellent project management skills and experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.

  • Travel requirements: 10-15% within EMEA & US

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $104,000 to $145,000.
