This position will manage production parts in the assigned commodity areas and may assist with the procurement of non-inventory production parts. Position will be responsible for the procurement of material necessary to meet the production schedule. Additional key responsibilities include participating in cross-functional teams, ability to communicate effectively with the production area supervisors, planners, and commodity managers, and effectively use the available system tools and reports to ensure purchased material is delivered on time.

Requirements:

• Creates, issues, prioritizes & maintains purchase orders in accordance with the Master Production Schedule using ERP software.

• Facilitates efficient processing of orders to assure minimum resources and inventory investment.

• Work with planning team members to proactively identify & resolve material issues needed to support production schedule.

• Work with other functional areas to monitor & resolve purchased material shortages

• Identify, communicate & address issues regarding part shortages and risk of potential part shortages.

• Suggest solutions for improvements in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and/or productivity.

• Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Provide information for effective customer service which includes but is not limited to timely email replies, communicating issues involving purchase parts, and promised delivery dates.

• Supplier Relationship Management, OTD, Invoicing issues, packaging and documentation requirements.

A. Provide support and information to supply base of processes, documentation, and portal utilization as a requirement to be a Harsco Supplier

• Other tasks/projects as assigned.

A. Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED with +6 years job related experience with job

• Associate Degree (Business/Supply Chain) +4 years of job-related experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business/Supply Chain/engineering) 2years

• ERP experience, LN a plus

B. Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to interact with diverse groups of employees.

• Ability to communicate effectively.

A. Education & Experience

• ASCM/APIC—CPIM or CSCP

• ISM-CPM or CPSM or CPSD

B. Interpersonal Skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

C. Technical Skills

• Basic Knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Microsoft or related experience

• Excel

• Exceptional organizational abilities
