Connecticut State Job Bank Intern, Systems Engineer in West Hartford, Connecticut

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer Internto join our West Hartford, CT team. The Systems Engineer Intern will support activities related to the development and evaluation of engine control systems for small turbine engines and thermal control systems. These activities include developing system-level requirements, test procedure and report generation, test equipment checkout and lab evaluations.

  • Requirements and architecture analysis
  • Safety and Failure Mode Analysis
  • Product cybersecurity risk analysis
  • Control stability analysis and simulations
  • Test procedure automation support and process automation
  • Control system test development, review, and execution
  • Tool development to automate/expedite field return investigation
  • Control system program review and coding support
  • Field problem analysis and solution development

Qualifications

  • Pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineers must have comfort and familiarity with control systems and software
  • Experience with Labview, Matlab/Simulink, Visual Studio, Cybersecurity, and/or Software coding preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment collaborating with Engineers and other Interns
  • Candidates must be a US Citizens or a US Permanent Resident
