Kimley-Horn Landscape Architect in West Palm Beach, Florida
Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking an emerging Landscape Architecture Project Manager/Emerging Practice Leader to join our Landscape Archietcure team in West Palm Beach, Florida (FL)! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including higher education, urban design, planning, parks, recreation, and athletic facilities throughout the region and southeast for a wide variety of clients. Project experiences will be diverse as we provide services to both public and private sectors.
Support our national Landscape Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, graphic and technical expertise, and winning commissions.
Work in a dynamic team environment collaborating on a range of projects including higher education, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality and resort, community planning, and streetscape design throughout the region for a wide variety of great clients
Engage in project management/task management on a variety of public and private sector projects
Pursue and win client and project wok, as well as write proposals and scope of services
Act as a leader/mentor and develop younger and cohort staff with goal of facilitating intellectual team growth
Preparation of Drawing sets, Details and Specifications, 3D modeling and Rendering
Qualifications
4+ more years of relevant work experience
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
Registered Professional/Certified Landscape Architect (PLA/CLA) license or ability to obtain in 1 year
Project management experience or desire to manage projects
Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Lumion, and Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills
Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint)
Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
Excellent written and oral communication and professional communication skills
Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Possess self-motivated entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated work ethic
Strong presentation skills and a desire to pursue work, manage clients and a team
Involvement in professional organizations desired
