Communicates with physicians and employees' health care providers regarding employee's ability to return to work.Interacts with Management, communicating the return to work status of employees on disability. Provides documentation to payroll on disability status of employees. Performs medical surveillance for plant personnel and communicates irregularities to Management and Safety. Administers the Hearing Conservation Program. Plans and organizes annual flu shot clinic and semi-annual blood drives.May assist with planning and organizing the annual health risk assessments. Coordinates the site's Workers' Compensation Program. Assists Safety and site Management with investigation of all alleged work-related injuries and illnesses. Provides medical management to employees for their health concerns.Assesses employees' health concerns and accurately documents in their medical chart. Provides employees with information and educational tools that promote overall physical and mental health wellness. Works with Safety to coordinate the First Response Team on site Actively participates in site safety committees. Prepares and conducts training programs for supervisors and other employees as required. Attends seminars as required to stay abreast of current occupational health, workers compensation and related laws / issues. Works with Supervisor to administer Bemis benefits to bargaining unit employees.Inputs data into the Profile System regarding benefits and documents and files information relative to the data, in the absence of Supervisor or as needed. Participates in various organizations within the community relating to education, manufacturing, Human Resources, benefits, health and wellness, etc. In conjunction with Supervisor reviews and approves FMLA, military and condolence leaves.Reviews non-FMLA, personal leaves with Human Resources Manager on a weekly basis (minimum).With assistance from Supervisor, tracks all leave activity in the Profile system and distributes all leave paperwork to appropriate individuals on a timely basis.. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping personnel data confidential. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by following policies and procedures.
