Description
We are offering a job opportunity in Westfield, New Jersey for an individual well-versed in accounting procedures and practices. The role is an Accounting Clerk, operating within a busy workplace and contributing to the smooth running of the accounting department.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the process of entering checks into the accounting system.
• Post payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Handle phone calls professionally, providing appropriate information and assistance as needed.
• Assist with Accounts Payable tasks, ensuring all payments are processed and recorded accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing procedures
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Oracle software
• Experience with QuickBooks software
• Proficiency in SAP software
• Background in general accounting and bookkeeping
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
