JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own developing and testing business requirements for payroll outsourcing project from an outsourced benefits administration perspective. This will require coordination between multiple external vendors as well as multiple internal teams.
*Project manage and execute upon all aspects of assigned project work which could include (but not limited to): Pension de-risking, vendor change(s), Annual Enrollment, payroll conversion, benefit administration automation, pension administration historical data reconciliation and clean-up, eligibility interface development, benefits financial and demographic interface development and testing, acquisitions, divestitures, plan mergers, plan design changes, vendor, and legal compliance changes.
Investigate historical payroll errors to determine opportunities to implement long term automated solutions during new vendor implementation and own the end-to-end implementation of solutions. Document new process and train team on all aspects of process
Assist in maintaining and developing plan rules, standard operating procedures, and policies
*Assist with operational administration of the U.S. qualified and non-qualified pension plans and 401(k) plans including pension benefit coordination; handling FICA taxation for non-qualified plans
*Assist with operational administration of the U.S. Health & Welfare plans - Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, as well as adherence to plan documents
Review and analyze output from interfaces to ensure accurate payroll results.
Ensure compliance of benefit administration with federal and state laws including IRS and Department of Labor regulations. Maintain full compliance with all internal controls (ICS).
Assist with periodic version testing and vendor system enhancement testing; identifying and implementing process and system improvement opportunities; and thoroughly documenting all processes.
Assist with educating all necessary parties about plans; and provide communication support
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field required OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education for a year-for-year basis
A minimum of 10 years progressive work experience in employee benefits administration required
Complex data/database and systems requirement gathering/documentation and testing experience in benefits and payroll outsourcing environment
Someone with good critical thinking skills, willing to collaborate on a variety of topics.
Project Management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
SAP experience
Benefits outsourcing experience.
Payroll outsourcing experience
MS Excel and Access and/or SQL skills
Experience in one or more of the following: benefits, consulting, employee benefit transformation or employee total rewards.
