Summary of Responsibilities

The Department of Human Performance Studies in the College of Applied Studies at Wichita\ State University provides an opportunity for hands-on, applied learning and research experience\ for every student. Within and beyond the classroom and high-tech laboratories, our urban setting\ creates opportunities for our students and faculty to engage and collaborate with industry\ professionals and promotes an inclusive environment. The Human Performance Studies\ Department is seeking a candidate to fill a nine-month, non-tenure track Exercise Science\ clinical educator and recruitment & retention coordinator position to teach undergraduate courses\ required in human performance studies as well as graduate courses in exercise science (e.g.,\ sport nutrition, anatomy & physiology, body composition and weight management, and courses\ related to area of expertise), develop and oversee the applied learning/practicum, establish a\ student-centered, program(s) focused recruitment and retention agenda, and provide service to\ the university, college, department, community, and profession.\ \

Minimum Education

Master degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or a related field.

Minimum Experience

  • Evidence of successful college teaching experience.
  • Experience that demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
