job summary:
A Electronics Technician is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Wichita, KS area. This position involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing moderate to complex electronics/avionics equipment, ensuring adherence to company standards and continuous improvement initiatives, while also providing accurate estimates and documentation of repair actions.

responsibilities:
Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
Align and adjust complex electrical components on units being tested to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits.
Analyze circuitry and physically check wiring and operation of various electronic parts, units, and systems components to locate malfunction causes.
Perform difficult electrical/mechanical repair operations consisting of disassembly and assembly of units.
Verify that repairs or modifications conform to company Quality and Workmanship Standards.
Prepare repair cost estimates for customers and communicate technical and financial aspects of repair costs.
Research and provide in-depth estimates for units requiring extensive repairs, service bulletins, overhauls, and complete rebuilds.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree in electronics technology or equivalent vocational certificate preferred.
Surface mount/through-hole soldering experience required.
Electronics component level repair experience preferred.
RF repair experience preferred.
