Job Description:

GDIT has an exciting opening for a Graphics Designer to support U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS Program Team in Wiesbaden Germany. The Graphics Designer will assist the customer with the creation of graphics, presentations, infographics and other visual communication products in support of G2 Executive Staff Efforts.

HOW A GRAPHICS DESIGNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Create highly visual graphics appropriate for communication channels and mediums including print and electronic (i.e., web, social media, presentations). Materials may be for external and/or internal usage.

  • Create daily visual slides that summarize updates for leadership briefings within the Organization.

  • Create visual information for briefings to communicate with the Executive Staff and for public viewing.

  • Work with SMEs to develop creative briefs and concepts and to translating technical and metric subject matters into visual communication products such as but not limited to web pages, factsheets, social media or social media posts, PowerPoint slides and presentations, infographics, etc.

  • Develop infographics and other materials by utilizing requirements given by the customer.

  • Provide consultation services with managing and ensuring all other creative guidelines are adhered to and consistent in all communication materials.

  • Create and optimize 508 compliant images, PDFs and materials for the web using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat).

  • Provide guidance on web design and layout of graphical fact sheets, newsletters, and communication materials.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Graphic Design or Web Design. and 4+ years experience. (additional years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement)

  • Skills: Understanding of basic risk communication principles (giving clear and simple communication and providing actionable information); Experience in the use of MS Teams and Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook); Experience reviewing and producing graphical elements; Strong proofing skills and attention to detail; Experience with Federal plain language; Experience in working with social media and/or digital media channels; Self-sufficient (needs little supervision); Ability to be flexible and to periodically work after hours and/or on the weekend, should the need arise; Sound interpersonal communication, telephone, email and business etiquette; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Experience in facilitating quick turn-around for complex graphics/layouts; Experience in assisting in the preparation of graphics and/or documents for public audience

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
