Title: Software Engineer III

DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Contribute to Structured Finance Document Custody team responsible for the design and development of software applications, using C#, .Net Core, Azure, SQL, IIS, and Angular; troubleshoot root cause of system issues and defects; design and implement RESTful APIs; Complete basic to complex systems analysis, design and development; prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans; complete any required debugging and testing; produce unit tests with the goal of providing 100% unit test coverage; support less experienced resources with onboarding and development tasks on small to large scope projects; participate with other development, operations and technology teams in overall systems development direction from technical analysis to user acceptance testing; understand complex interrelationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications and platforms; provide analytical consulting in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist business units in meeting strategic objectives; lead development efforts of a team, providing guidance when necessary and reporting status to team lead or executive management; support production installation of developed software systems, including third party applications and other solutions as required; maintain efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications, following development standards and procedures; adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies and control; identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; and conduct analysis to determine integration needs. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and six (6) years of experience designing and developing software and web applications using C#, .Net Core, Azure, SQL, IIS, and Angular; troubleshooting root cause of system issues and defects; and designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
