TEKsystems Medical Receptionist in Wilton, Connecticut

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Our highly visible Medical Receptionist are responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining insurance information and referrals, and updating patient demographics.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Registering patients, including gathering and updating demographic and insurance information
Collecting co-pays and patient account balances
Obtaining referrals
Assisting patients with health histories
Assisting Medical Secretaries with phones, patient sessions, and other functions in support of patient care
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office with experience in medical reception/patient registration.
Knowledge of medical insurances
Prior EMR experience required.
Ability to demonstrate a mature, dependable, and responsible approach while effectively assisting physician’s practice when interacting with patients, physicians, co-workers, and additional outside sources.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Ability to multi-task. Detail oriented and highly organized.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
DETAILS:
Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8-hour shift within the hours of operation (6:00am – 4:30pm). (40 hours per week)
Shifts will be pre-set but depending on procedures some days may start as early at 6:00am and other days will be 8:00am.
Pay: $21-$22/hr. based on related experience.
Pay Cycle – Weekly | Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits offered.
