The community you’ll be caring for:

•Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years

•Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness

•Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute

The role you’ll contribute:

The Lead Technologist performs at a technical level a variety of cardiovascular procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. Utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Lead utilizes proficiency in all aspects of his/her designated procedural area in preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Department and Hospital administration. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required.

  • Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade clinical and leadership skills. Seeks education opportunities, and coaches’ staff towards professional growth.

  • Supports and assists with data collection for process improvement while understanding the department performance trends and established standards.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· One year of experience in the modality assigned to lead

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Echocardiography-Adult

· Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Adult Echocardiography (AE) or

· Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
