SUMMARY
Join the Corporate FP&A team at AAR! We are a team supporting AAR's business and finance leaders at the highest leaders in the organization. We are looking for a passionate individual to be the day-to-day finance support for several of AAR's shared functions (including, not limited to HR, IT, Legal). This individual will monitor and review department financials, establish relationships with operational stakeholders, and lend financial insight to these leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and prepare monthly forecasts for the P&L and balance sheet for AAR shared functions
Conduct actual versus plan and actual versus forecast variance analysis on department financials and presenting results to operational leaders, explaining cause and effect of certain transactions
Partner with business leaders to develop and review the annual budget (P&L and capital expenditures) and offer insights into the financial implications of existing and proposed plan actions
Support monthly and quarterly close processes for supported departments, ensuring proper statement of department financials
Establish relationships with AAR finance leaders to understand and increase visibility for the drivers of SG&A cost across the business
Create and define appropriate financial reporting and/or system enhancements to support day-to-day management of financials
Execute on projects to support ad-hoc business initiatives and visibility into AAR's cost landscape

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Strong Proficiency in Excel
Preferred: 2-4 years of work experience in accounting, financial analysis or internal audit, experience analyzing balance sheets, proficiency in PowerPoint
