Walt's Wholesale Meats Inc Sanitation Manager in Woodland, Washington

 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced sanitation manager to join our team in the food production industry. As a sanitation manager, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in our facility, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and implementing effective sanitation programs.

Your role will involve overseeing and improving our sanitation processes to prevent food contamination and ensure the safety of our products. You will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement cleaning schedules, train and supervise sanitation staff, and conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of sanitation principles, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You should have a proactive approach to problem-solving and be able to communicate effectively with both team members and management. This job requires working closely with cross-functional teams, so the ability to build and maintain relationships is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs and procedures
  • Train and supervise sanitation staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cleaning schedules and standards
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulations to ensure compliance at all times
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food production industry
  • Extensive knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Certification in sanitation or related field is preferred but not required
