The Accounting Supervisor position is responsible for three key functions. This position is responsible for the oversight of the daily corporate staff accounting functions, which include journal entries, account analyses, reporting and account reconciliations.

This position also partners with internal Business Unit as the Finance Lead to ensure a clear understanding of financial goals, and the performance against those goals. This position connects operational performance with the financial results to illustrate areas opportunities and drive improvement.

Lastly, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance to Hendrickson financial policies and procedures for various Finance systems across all divisions globally.

Essential Functions:

For Business Unit, lead the monthly close process, the preparation of the annual financial plan and the submission of the quarterly forecasts.

Responsible for accurate recording of manufacturing and overhead costs. Partner with Operations to ensure budgets are clearly communicated and adhered to.

Provide financial analysis and decision support to Business Unit leadership.

Prepare and track margin analysis and cost reductions for new project programs.

Monitor and track CIP spending for local capital projects.

Monitor expenditures and performance against plan and the forecasts, develop financial models, perform analyses of variances, generate the monthly reporting package and commentary, and establish action plans to meet financial performance objectives.

Prepare journal entries for the corporate general ledger. Generate monthly reporting, account analyses and reconciliations. Analyze and engage the corporate departments (Marketing, Sales, IT, HR, ATG and Executive Admin) with significant variances versus budget. Ensure compliance with Hendrickson financial policies and procedures.

Manage the established Concur and AppZen compliance processes globally through internal review and provide action plan items to the divisions as necessary to ensure adherence to policy. Direct activities with the internal auditors annually.

Liaise with, and provide system support, training, and service to, Hendrickson users as necessary for QAD, Sage, OneStream, Concur, AppZen, LeaseQuery, and any other finance systems implemented by the company. Propose and implement process improvement initiatives, with a focus on increased efficiency and accuracy. Assist in efforts to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and utilize appropriate technology.

Lead the monthly OneStream Account Reconciliation process globally, ensuring accurate and timely submissions from the divisions. Provide training to the divisions as necessary to ensure process compliance. Prepare and respond to both internal and external auditor requests as required.

Build OneStream workflows, transformation rules, confirmation rules and reports as necessary to support evolving business requirements at the divisions. Ensure accurate account and cost center mapping between the various ledgers and OneStream.

Ensure complementary user control compliance for various Finance systems, as described in vendor SOC 1 reports.

Manage Finance\'s Data Analytics program across the divisions.

Ensure accurate corporate fixed asset registers, perform the annual fixed asset physicals, add, and remove assets as necessary, and ensure agreement with the general ledger.

Monitor and attribute P-Card usage and charges, prepare intercompany billings and reconcile monthly statements.

Prepare periodic financial reports on both a routine and special request basis, meeting established deadlines (e.g., Hendrickson monthly results, forecasts, plans, and Board of Directors meetings).

Ensure accurate, timely and thorou h documentation of job procedures, as many are technical in nature and are necessary to ensure the minimization of potential control issues globally.

Execute special analyses, reports and projects as requested.

Education and Training

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is required.

CPA/CMA (or working towards certification) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are required.

Five years of relevant general accounting or cost accounting experience is required.

Experience in QAD or a similar ERP system is required.

Excellent problem-solving skills are required, as Corporate Finance troubleshoots issues that the divisions can\'t resolve.

Strong analytical skills, with ability to analyze and interpret data required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
