Legacy Preparatory Academy Literacy Coach in WOODS CROSS, Utah
A charter school in Woods Cross is now accepting applications for a full-time Literacy Coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing instructional duties as established by the Principal and in accordance with Utah State Office of Education regulations.
Assist in implementation and creation of professional development as necessary.
Supervise and mentor paraprofessionals.
Mentor teachers to support/advocate for students struggling with academics or behavior.
Attend and actively participate in network, school team, IEP and or eligibility meetings as required.
Collaborate with staff, students, and parents/guardians on behavior interventions.
Provide social/emotional instruction and behavior support using a multi-tiered system of support.
Actively participate with teachers and staff on issues such as crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues, and factors that can affect development and implementation of interventions.
Use ongoing assessments to maintain records of student progress.
Consult with general education staff on special education referrals involving behavior concerns and work with the Child Study Team to review data reports.
Participate in building/grade level meetings as appropriate, attend professional development opportunities as approved, and maintain high level of skill and knowledge of current research practices.
Additional duties as assigned.

Bachelors Degree or higher, preferably in Elementary Education.
