LifePoint Health RN-House Spvr PRN in Wytheville, Virginia
Organizes, assesses, directs and evaluates patient care delivery across the hospital. Collaborates with department directors on clinical and non-clinical issues (employee relations, individual behaviors, physician's relationships. Supervises, directs, coaches and mentors staff while Director of the unit is not available. Coordinates all patient transfers to other continuum of care.
Reports to: Director of ICU/House Supervision
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree X Preferred
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Certifications/Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within six months of date of hire Handle with Care within one year of date of hire
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA or Compact licensure which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board.
Minimum Work Experience Three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting. Prefer previous experience in ER, ICU or OB.
